SEATS AVAILABLE :
The seats available in different Institutions in undergraduate and post graduate programmes for the year 2015-16 aregiven in Appendix-D.
RESERVATION OF SEATS :
As per State/Central Government rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria.
These categories are:
(a) Other Backward Classes (OBC)- Non Creamy Layer as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website
(b) Scheduled Castes (SC)
(c) Scheduled Tribes (ST)
The benefit of reservation for admission will be given only for Himachal Bonafide applicants and the applicants belonging to other States will be treated under General Category only.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES WILLING TO TAKE ADMISSION IN STATE GOVT./PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES OF HIMACHAL PRADESH :
(a) Candidates desirous of seeking admission in Universities (other than Himachal Pradesh Technical Universityor its affiliated colleges) shall have to apply on the prescribed application form available on the official website of concerned University.
(b) Therefore, each desirous candidate is advised to visit the official website of concerned Universities and in case of Private Universities they may visit of Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission, Majitha House, Shimla-2 to have detailed information about the Private Universities in Himachal Pradesh.
