Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gandhinagar (IITE) is a state university established by an act of government of Gujarat. IITE offers four year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. & B.A.B.Ed. courses recognised by NCTE. IITE known as one of the best destinations for teacher education aims at nurturing teachers of tomorrow.

PRE ENTRY TEST FOR PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS ( PTPT) ENTRANCE EXAMINATION OF IITE.
Students who have passed 12th Std. with atleast 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST) can apply for these courses.

Applications are invited for Admission to 2015-19 batch. Admissions shall be on merit. Entrance examination to be conducted as follows:
Date of entrance exam – 28-06-2015 (Sunday)
Centers – Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat.
Time and centers of examination to be notified on the website.

Filled in application forms should reach at above mentioned address on or before 22-06-15.

Intake of the Course:
a) B.Sc., B.Ed.: 50 Seats
b) B.A., B.Ed.: 50 Seats
Reservation policy as per the norms of the Gujarat Government.

Fees :
The candidate have to pay Rs. 25000/- per semester for Education, Lodging and Boarding Charges and Rs.5000/- per semester for Skill Development and Activities Charges, Rs. 500 for Library Deposit.

Method of Calculating Merit :
To finalise the merit the following method will be followed:
50% of Merit will be calculated from total marks obtained in 12th Std.
50% of Merit will be calculated from Pre entry Test (PTPT).

General Instructions :

1. Kindly fill in all details with utmost care and write down everything in ‘BLOCK LETTERS’ only.

2. Kindly attach the Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- only, (For candidates belonging to SC/ST Category Demand Draft of Rs. 150/- only, if duly category certificate is attached with) in favour of ‘Registrar, IITE’ payable at Gandhinagar, otherwise the application will not be validated for the test.

3. All the details should be written legible and it should be correct to the best of your knowledge.

4. Please ensure yourself for which course you would like to opt for the test, anyone B.A.B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed., you will be considered for any one of the courses for which you have marked.

5. Kindly note that B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programme are four year integrated teacher education programmes and there is no exit in between. At the end of four years degree will be awarded.

6. Please mark tick in the box only.

7. Please take care in selecting centre of the test, once selected, no change is permitted.

8. Kindly note that the fees paid for the test shall not be refunded in any of the cases. It is non-transferable and not refundable.

9. The application form along with the draft of entrance test fees must be delivered on or before 22nd June, 2015 at the University office. No form will be received after this date.

11. Kindly ensure that you have passed qualifying examination from the board recognized by the competent authority, otherwise the application form is liable to be rejected.

12. If the candidate wishes to avail the benefit of reservation for the specified category, the document required must be attached along with the application form, otherwise the admission will be treated in general category. For ‘SEBC’ category, ‘Non-creamy Layer Certificate from the competent authority must be latest and issued after 1st April, 2015.

13. No candidate shall be allowed to keep any of the belongings like, mobile phone, calculator, bags, books, etc., in the centre of test. Only, pens, pencils, erasers and identity card will be allowed.

14. If any of the candidates will be found copying or doing mal-practice shall be debarred from the test centre, but will not be allowed to leave the centre before test gets over.

15. No candidate shall be allowed to leave hall of examination until test gets over.
