IIM CAT Common Admission Test
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct a computer-based Common Admission Test 2024 (CAT 2024) on November 24, 2024 in three sessions. Detailed information on CAT 2024 may be obtained from the CAT website. The CAT 2024 advertisement has been published in several newspapers in multiple languages across the country, however the information contained in the CAT website shall be considered as final. Last Date for submission of application is 13th September 2024.
Eligibility of Common Admission Test
** The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as an University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
** Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
** Candidates applying for CAT 2024 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
a) Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks*.
b) Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA (CMA)/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with required percentage*.
c) Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage*.
*SC/ST/PwD candidates should have a minimum 45%. For General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum is 50%.
Registration Fees of CAT
₹1250 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.
₹2500 for all other categories of candidates.
Please note that a candidate needs to pay the registration fees only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
How to Register for CAT?
You can register for CAT 2024 at the official CAT 2024 website, iimcat.ac.in between 10:00 am on August 01, 2024 and 5:00 pm on September 13, 2024. The registration steps are as follows:
** Register to generate unique User ID and Password.
** Log in with the generated User ID and Password to fill in the Application form.
** Submit Application form after entering details and making online payment to complete the registration and application process.

1. Check your eligibility for CAT 2024 by referring to the Eligibility document on the website.
2. Ensure that you have a valid and unique email address and mobile number. Please ensure that you retain this email address and mobile number until the CAT Admission process is completed as all official communications will be done using this email address and mobile number only.
3. “*” (asterisk) indicates a mandatory field. The fields marked with this symbol must be filled in or you will not be allowed to submit your application for CAT 2024.
