CPET Combined Ph.D. Entrance Test
Government of Uttarakhand a Combined Ph.D. Entrance Test -2024 (CPET-2024) is being conducted for the candidates who seek admission in Ph.D. programmes of campuses and colleges affiliated to Uttarakhand state universities (Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Soban Singh Jeena University, Uttarakhand Open University and Kumaun University). Kumaun University is the nodal university for CPET-2024. Last Date for submission of application is 22nd July 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for CPET
The following are eligible to seek admission to the Ph.D. programme:
Candidates who have completed:
A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme
or
a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme
or
qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed
or
equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
** A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
** Provided that a candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
** Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
** A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non- creamy layer)/Differently Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

for General, EWS and OBC categories candidates ₹2550
for SC/ST/ PH categories candidates ₹2050
** Applicable service/processing charges & GST over and above the Examination Fee, are to be paid by the candidate to the concerned Bank/ Payment Gateway Integrator.
** Registration fee will not be refunded/adjusted/charged back in any circumstances.
Instructions For Filling Online Application of CPET
** Access the official website of the Samarth portal, by visiting the website https://ukentrancephd.samarth.edu.in/
** All the candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully and ensure their eligibility before they start filling in the application form.
** Locate and select the “Login” tab to register in the Samarth portal. Candidates already registered in the Samarth portal can log in using their email IDs and password. Go to the “Select Programme” tab on the opened page and select “Ph.D. Programme”.
** Provide all the necessary details in the online registration form. Ensure that all required fields are completed accurately and completely.
** Upon completing the online registration form, submit the form and proceed to the payment section.
** Pay the required amount using the available payment options specified by the university.
** Upon successful payment, a confirmation message or payment receipt will be generated. Save or take a screenshot of this confirmation for future reference.
** Retain a printout of the online application form for your records. To do so, access the “Print Application” or “Print Application Form” options provided on the website. Follow the provided instructions to generate a printable version of your application form.
** Safely store the printed application form for future reference.
** Ensure that you make a note of any unique application number or reference number provided by the system for future correspondence or inquiries.
Important Dates of Combined Ph.D Entrance Test
** Online registration and submission of the Application Form (complete in all respects) through the Samarth Portal Website 03 July 2024 to 22 July 2024 (Up to 05:00 pm)
** Admit Card downloading by the candidate from the Samarth Portal One week before the Examination date.
** Date of Examination 11 August 2024
** Duration of Examination 120 minutes (02 hours)
