Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test
Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing in the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET) 2024 for admission into the M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. and M.Tech. Programmes conducted by Dibrugarh University and its Affiliated and Autonomous Colleges in the Academic Session 2024-2025. Last Date for submission of Application is 26th May 2024.

Eligibility of DUPGET
** Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
OR
** Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
** Candidates passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.
Conduct of DUPGET
a) The DUPGET 2024 is conducted by the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET) Board, Dibrugarh University.
b) The DUPGET 2024 shall be conducted for all candidates for the academic programmes mentioned below irrespective of the University they have passed the qualifying examination.
The Subjects are-
MA. in: Anthropology, Assamese, Bodo, Economics, History, Sociology, Statistics, Geography, Education, English, Mathematics, Political Science, Philosophy, Applied Psychology, Mass Communication, Women’s Studies
M.Sc. in: Anthropology, Applied Geology, Life Sciences (Zoology), Life Sciences (Botany), Physics, Statistics, Geography, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
M.Com. in: (i) Finance and (ii) Marketing
M.Ed.
M.C.A.
M.T.T.M.
Notification for some other Post Graduate, Under Graduate, Diploma and Certificate Programmes have already been notified or will be notified separately.
Selection Criteria for DUPGET
a) For 80% of seats reserved for the students graduated from Dibrugarh University, shall be selected on the merit of the DUPGET 2024 (i.e. the weightage of DUPGET 2024 shall be of 100%) in addition to the fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria.
b) For the 20% of the seats reserved for the graduates of all recognized Universities other than Dibrugarh University, the candidates shall also be selected on the merit of the DUPGET 2024 only subject to the fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria.
c) A Candidate is eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2024 in maximum 4 (four) subjects. Moreover, they should not apply in more than 1 (one) subject from the same Shift as given below-
Shift 1: Anthropology, Applied Geology, Chemistry, Education, English, History, Mathematics
Shift 2: Assamese, Bodo, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Philosophy, Political Science, M.T.T.M.
Shift 3: Applied Psychology, Economics, Geography, Life Sciences (Botany), Life Sciences (Zoology), M.Ed., Physics, Statistics,
Shift 4: M.Com. in (i) Finance and (ii) Marketing, Mass Communication, M.C.A., Sociology, Women’s Studies,
Nature of the DUPGET
a) The DUPGET shall be of 100 Marks and of 2 (two) hours duration.
b) It shall be conducted in a single paper of the concerned subject containing 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice questions (MCQ) carrying 1 (one) mark each.
c) The Question Paper shall be in English excluding the language subjects.
d) There shall be a provision of negative marking of 0.25 (point two five) mark for incorrect response to a question.
e) For Mathematics subject, DUPGET shall be of 150 marks of 2 (two) hours duration containing 75 Objective Type Multiple Choice questions (MCQ) carrying 2 (two) mark each. There shall be a provision of negative marking of 0.5 (point five) mark for incorrect response to a question in Mathematics.
f) The candidate shall be required to appear the DUPGET in the OMR Sheet and the evaluation process shall be done by the automated electronically operated system.
g) The DUPGET score shall be valid for admission in the current academic session 2024-2025 only.
How to Apply for DUPGET?
1. Application for appearing in the DUPGET 2024 shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.
2. Online Registration for submission of Application Form will begin from 08.05.2024. Application for DUPGET 2024 is through online mode only. The last date for submission of application is 26.05.2024 (till 11.55 p.m.)
3. For submission of the Online Application Form, intending candidates are advised to follow thefollowing instructions:
a) The candidate shall be required to visit the DUPGET 2024 Portal in the website.
b) The Candidate needs to register on the portal by clicking the “Register” button and providing his/her name, mobile number and a password. The mobile number will be verified through an OTP. Please remember the password for login.
c) After successful registration, the candidate needs to login using his/her mobile number and the password.
d) After login, the candidate needs to click on the “Apply” button corresponding to the link of “DUPGET 2024” which will lead to an application form. The candidate needs to fill up the application form step by step.
e) After filling-up the Form, Candidate needs to click the button “Submit and Review”. A preview of the filled-up form will be displayed. Candidates are advised to carefully cross-check the information and if anything needs to be corrected at this stage, they can go back and edit.
f) After ensuring that all the information displayed on the Preview is correct, the candidate needs to click ‘Pay now & Submit the application” and the pay the application fee of Rs. 950/- (Nine Hundred Fifty) only through online mode (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).
g) The application form will be considered finally submitted only when the application fee is successfully paid by the candidate and an online receipt is generated confirming the payment.
h) There will be a button to download the Application Form and Admit Card for future reference.
i) The Candidate shall have to take a print out of the Admit Card and bring the same to the Examination Hall on the Date of the Test for verification.
j) The Submission of Online Application Forms shall be automatically closed after the last date.
