TNDALU Law Admission
The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University is functioning as the nodal agency of the Government of Tamil Nadu for selection of candidates for admission to 3 Year LL.B. Degree Course and 5 Year B.A.LL.B. Degree Course (Regular), offered in Government Law Colleges located in the State of Tamil Nadu, under the unified Single Window Admission System.
Eligibility Criteria of Law Admission
Eligibility Criteria For Admission Into 5 Year Integrated Law Degree Course :
The eligibility criteria for admission is as per the Bar Council of India Regulations- 2009 and State Government Norms. The eligibility norms as prescribed by the University and approved by the Syndicate are as follows:
(a) Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or completed 3 Year Diploma / Polytechnic (Amended as per the decission passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Madras in W.P.No.18822 of 2022 dated 23.12.2022) examinations from a recognized institution and should have secured not less than 45% of marks (in aggregate). Candidates belonging to SC/ST Communities should have secured 40% of marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree course.
1. FOR CANDIDATES COMPLETED +2: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in the Plus Two examinations Excluding Languages will be taken into account.
2. FOR CANDIDATES HAVING DIPLOMA OR POLYTECHNIC: The percentage of Marks obtained in Subjects excluding languages, Practical Papers and Skills papers such as life skills, Communications skills, etc.. Will be taken into account as Stipulated in G.O. (MS) No.302 Law, (LS) Department, and Dated 30-05-2023. The respective G.O. will be uploaded in the University Official Website.
(b) As per G.O.(Ms.) No.418, Law (LS) Department, dated 03.07.2012, on the basis of merit list 4% of the total seats have been allotted to the Higher Secondary Course (+2) Vocational Stream candidates.
(c) No age limit for Admission.
(d) Candidates having ITI qualification instead of Higher Secondary Course (+2) are ineligible.
Eligibility Criteria For Admission Into 3 Year Ll.B. Degree Course :
The Eligibility Criteria for admission is as per the Bar Council of India Regulations-2008 and State Government Norms. The eligibility norms as prescribed by the University and approved by the Syndicate are as follows:
(a) Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed any Bachelor Degree Course of any University recognized by University Grants Commission and should have secured not less than 45% of marks (in aggregate). Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities should have secured 40% of marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree course.
(b) The following Eligibility Criteria are to be compulsorily fulfilled by the Applicants:
1. Should have completed School Education in the pattern of (10+2+3) OR (10+3+3)
2. Degree (Any Under Graduation)
3. Only Under Graduation will be taken for Eligibility and Rank Percentage of Marks;
4. ITI are not eligible as it is not Equivalent to Higher Secondary that is 12th Standard (+2).
Instructions for Filling Online Application of Law Admission
Application Process :
Registration: Fill up the below fields to register yourself.
1. Name of the candidate: Enter your name as mentioned in your original 10th Mark sheet. Leave a space between your first name, middle name and last name. If your full name, exceeds 30 characters and does not fit in the space provided, kindly shorten your name by using initials. Please use a space between initials. e.g.: If your full name is DHANDAYUTHABANI SHIVA BALA KUMARAN shorten it as, D S B KUMARAN
2. Date of Birth: Select your date of birth as mentioned in your original 10th Pass or equivalent Certificate in DD/MM/YYYY format. e.g.: If your date of birth is 3rd September 1988, fill as 03/09/1988
3. Mobile Number: Enter your 10 digit Mobile number which is in working condition.
4. Confirm Mobile Number: Enter the same 10 digit Mobile number entered in mobile number field.
5. Email-Id: Enter an appropriate email id which is active. All further communications will be sent only to the mail id submitted by you. e.g.: sanjaykumar_2004@gmail.com
6. Confirm Email-Id: Enter the same email id entered in Email-id field.
Note: If there is any mismatch in mobile no and Email Id confirmation you will not be able to register.
Once the registration is completed you will receive the login credentials to your registered E-mail and Mobile.
Login: Using the login credentials received the applicant has to login and start filling the application.
Application Filling: The below details should be filled to complete the application
1. Name of the Father / Mother / Guardian
2. Gender: Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
3. Religion: Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
4. Community: Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
5. Caste Code: Select the appropriate Code option from the drop down. (Except Others Community)
6. Are you Sri Lankan Refugee / Kashmiri Migrant? : Select Yes/No
7. Citizenship: Select Indian/Others
8. Qualifying Examination: Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
9. Passed in the Qualifying Exam: Select Yes/No
10. Register Number of Qualifying Exam: Enter HSC register number
11. Month and Year of Passing (MM/YYYY):Enter the month and year in MM/YYYY format
12. SSLC Mode of Qualification: Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
13. HSC Mode of Qualification: Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
14. Medium of Instruction (HSC / Equivalent): Select the appropriate option from the drop down.
15. Address for Communication: Provide your address for communication. Kindly note, all formal communication from The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University will be sent to you at this address only. Please use blank spaces to separate words. Specify the name of your city, State and Pin code in the columns provided.
16. City: Enter the city name.
17. District: Enter the district.
18. State: Select the appropriate State from the drop down.
19. PIN Code: Enter the 6 digit PIN code.
** Once you have completed filling the application, click on SUBMIT option and a preview window will popup. Go through the details filled. If you find any mistake in the details filled, kindly click on EDIT and re-fill the erred field(s).
** Once you have provided the correct details, tick the check box and click on SAVE AND PROCEED. You will be redirected to the webpage containing the DOCUMENTS uploading option.
General Instructions To Applicants of Law Admission
1. The applicants are instructed to fill the application with utmost caution and care.
2. The marks entered by the applicants will be taken into account as such by the University for Determination of eligibility and ranking.
3. The Rank list and the Cut-Off Marks shall be calculated and published according to the claim made by the Applicants in their respective Applications.
4. After the submission of application and publication of rank list, a grievance portal will be opened in the University website (www.tndalu.ac.in) for rectification of mistakes, if any in the application. The grievance portal will be kept open for 3 days.
5. Once the grievance portal is closed, modifications in the Application will not be entertained at any stage.
6. Any mistake(s) in the application is the sole responsibility of the applicant and the University will not take any liability regarding the same.
7. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
8. Accommodation in the University hostel will be provided only upon the request of the applicants, if vacancies are available.
9. Updates regarding the process of admission will be put in the University website (www.tndalu.ac.in) on regular basis. The applicants should take responsibility in checking the University website for all official updates.
10. All information regarding Admissions will be put in the official website of the University at www.tndalu.ac.in and will also be sent to the email address and Mobile number of the applicant as specified in the application form. Applicants should check the website, email and Messages on daily basis. A claim to participate after missing out the scheduled verification date will not be entertained.
11. Once a candidate is allotted to participate in verification and got allotted in any college but did not join, he will not be permitted to participate in admissions further.
12. Re-allotment will be permitted only once based on community and merit List (only in case of vacancies available in the requested college).
13. Re-allotment process is not applicable to private law colleges.
