JIIT Ph.D Entrance Test
Ph.D. Entrance Test 2024 is conducted by Jaypee Institute of Information Technology JIIT. The eligible candidates will be required to appear in the Ph. D. Entrance Test of the Institute. Application status and exam instructions including admit card shall be displayed on the website. Candidates appearing in final year examinations in 2024 can also apply for admission. Date of Examination is held on 08th July 2024. Last Date for submission of Application Form is 30th June 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of Ph.D Entrance Test
(i) 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme in respective discipline with 60% Aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10.
(ii) 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme with 75% Aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
(iii) M.Phil. with 60% Aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10.
(iv) A relaxation of 5% marks is provided for SC/ST (non-creamy layer)/Differently- Abled and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.
(v) Consistently good academic performance is desirable.
Admission Procedure of Ph.D Entrance Test
(i) Candidates to satisfy the requirements of minimum qualification specified in para-1 above. Candidates appearing in the final year examination of qualifying degree can also apply. They will be required to submit marksheet of the qualifying degree on or before the date of registration.
(ii) The eligible candidates will be required to appear in the Ph. D. Entrance Test of the Institute.
(iii) Interview will be conducted for all the candidates.
(iv) The eligibility criteria for direct interview shall be determined as under: UGC-NET / CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national level examination candidates (only those who have qualified for fellowship and not for Lecturership only).

(iii) You may also obtain the application form by sending a demand draft of Rs.1,000/- on the address given at point (ii) above or from the institute’s counter by paying Rs.1000/- in cash.
Format of Question Paper for Ph. D. Admission Test
** There will be two parts, PART-1 and PART-2 of the question paper.
** PART-1 will contain 50 objective type questions. Each question will have four alternatives but single correct option. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and for an incorrect answer or an un-attempted question, zero marks will be awarded. Maximum marks will be 50 for Part-1.
** PART-2 will contain subjective type questions of total 50 marks.
** PART-1 will be of one hour duration and PART-2 will be of one and half hour duration. After completion of one hour, PART-1 answer book will be collected and PART-2 will be given which will have to be answered in the next one and half hour.
