Common Online Application for Admission in ITI & Polytechnic for the session 2024-25 & 2024-26 is open now. The last date for online application along with fees payment and document updation is 15.05.2024. Candidates who have passed Madhyamik or Class 10 Equivalent Board Examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute.

How to Fill Online Application Form?

Instruction to the candidates for filling up online application form :
1. The candidates must read the instructions and procedures carefully and keep all necessary information ready before starting to fill up the online application form. Once an application is received, it will be construed that the candidate has agreed to all terms & conditions, rules & regulations stipulated in the Information Brochure and notices published by the Council for the purpose.

2. Candidate has to register themselves in the portal first. They must have a valid mobile number where the OTP will come during registration. The mobile number will be default User id and date of birth of the candidate will be default password. The mobile number cannot be changed throughout the admission process.

3. The date of birth in the password must be given in the form of DDMMYYYY.
4. Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender and Date of Birth must be same as appeared in 10th standard examination.
5. Online form fill up Fees is :
6. For Boys: Rs. 200/-
7. For Girls: Rs. 100/-
8. Payment will be made online by the candidates using Debit/Credit card/Net banking/e-wallet/UPI etc only. No other mode of payment will be permitted.

9. Following simple steps to be followed for filling-up Online Application Form:
** Choose the Application Form to be filled-up either M or E based on the qualification. (One can fill up only one application from one user account)
** Fill “Personal Details” as sought for in the portal.
** Fill details of “Educational Qualification”.
** Preview your application before final submission and note down the Application Form Number for future reference.
** After final submission of the form, the required data will be verified by the District Nodal ITIs through online mode. Applicants do not require to visit any ITI for physical verification.
** For subsequent login through “Sign-in for Registered Candidates”, the Mobile Number and Password will have to be used. Candidates are advised to change their default password immediately after 1st log in due to security reason.

10. Candidate must be very careful while filling up the online application form. The data provided, cannot be corrected / revised under any circumstances.
11. The Application Fee is non-refundable.
12. The online acknowledgement will be generated only after making necessary payment.
13. The form will be finally submitted only after final validation by the Nodal Govt. ITI through online mode.
14. Without validation by the Nodal ITI, the form could be treated as cancelled.
15. Read admission brochure very carefully.

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.) for Admission to Polytechnics in the 1st Year
What is the eligibility criteria for admission to Polytechnics in the 1st Year ?
Candidates who have passed Madhyamik or Class 10 Equivalent Board Examination with Science / Physical Science and Mathematics from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute.

Can appeared candidates eligible to apply ?

Yes. Candidates appearing in the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute in the year 2024 with Science / Physical Science and Mathematics, may also apply. However, submission of pass certificate/ marksheet at the time of counseling / admission is a must, failing which candidature is liable to be cancelled even after merit listed.

What is the Age criteria for admission to Polytechnics in the 1st Year ?

There is no upper age limit, but candidate’s Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2009.

What are the recognized Board/ Council/ Institute ?

What is the criteria for preparing the merit list ?

The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination i.e. 10th Std.

A candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B family in the State of West Bengal. But, he/she does not possess SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B certificate in his/her name. Will he/she apply under SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B category ?
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of declarations given by the candidate. After counseling, admission will be allowed only on production of original reservation certificate in the name of candidates at the time of admission. It may also be noted here that the reservation will be made as per Government Order.

Is there any reservation allowed to SC / ST / OBC candidates belonging Other State i.e. outside the State of West Bengal ?

SC / ST / OBC candidates belonging to Other States i.e. outside West Bengal will be treated as ‘General’ candidates. They need not to fill SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B option of the Application Form (such candidates have to apply as ‘General’ category candidate).

Is any candidate allow for apply who belongs to outside India ?

No. Only Indian citizen candidates can apply for admission to Polytechnics, i.e. candidates must be an Indian Citizen.

What is Female Quota ?

Out of the District Quota seats, reservation of 20% seats for female candidates of respective districts.
