Applications are invited for admission to the Ph. D. Program in the Faculty of Law, National Law University, Jodhpur.
Eligibility :
** Postgraduate degree in the Law with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
** Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. (However, before the completion of the admission procedure, the original mark sheet of the qualifying examination has to be produced to show that the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria.)
Procedure of Admission :
Application forms may be downloaded or collected personally from the office of the Registrar, National Law University, NH-65, Nagaur Road. Jodhpur.
Filled-up application form along with the self-attested photocopies of the supporting documents and a demand draft of Rs.2500/- (Rs. Two thousand five hundred only) payable to the Registrar, National Law University, Jodhpur, payable at Jodhpur must reach the following address on or before 29th June 2015:

** The admission will be through an entrance test and a personal interview.
** The entrance test will be held at National Law University, Jodhpur, on 5th July 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
** The entrance test will seek to judge the abilities of the candidates in the fields of language, research aptitude, logical reasoning, and legal knowledge.
** The legal knowledge-specific questions will be multiple choice as well as short-answer type and for the rest, there will be only multiple-choice questions.
** Candidate short-listed on the basis of entrance test will be called for a personal interview.
** Admission will be subject to the availability of vacancies and facilities in the area of research chosen by the candidate.
** Candidates are advised to read the Rules of Ph. D. program also.
Fee Structure :
1. Admission fee at the time of provisional admission Rs. 5000/-
2. Tuition fee (per semester) Rs. 25000/-
3. Examination fee Rs. 30000/-
Instructions to candidates :
1. Every candidate should read the accompanying notification carefully and understand the eligibility criteria for appearing in the admission test.
2. The candidates shall fill all the five parts of the application form as well as the Admit Card (barring the roll number) with complete details correctly and legibly. The candidates are required to attach self-attested copies of the mark sheet(s) of the qualifying examination and other supporting documents to this form.
3. An application fee of Rs.2500/- (Rs. Two thousand five hundred only) in the form of a demand draft payable to the Registrar, National Law University, Jodhpur, at Jodhpur should be enclosed with the application form.
4. The candidates shall send the filled in application form with the enclosures so as to reach the Registrar, National Law University, NH-65, Nagaur Road, Mandore, Jodhpur-342304 Rajasthan, on or before June 29, 2015. Applications received after the last date will be rejected. The University will not be responsible for any delay in transit. The envelope containing the application form must be super scribed as FOR Ph. D. ADMISSION 2015.
5. Each candidate shall write an extended summary of the intended research, giving its significance and methodology on an additional sheet.
6. Candidates short-listed on the basis of the entrance test will be called for the interview.
7. Admission will be subject to availability of vacancy and facilities in the area of research chosen by the candidate.
