Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.
Provided further that the students appearing for final year or final semester of their post-graduate degree examination will also be eligible to appear for the admission process subject to the fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria in the final result thereof.
A candidate shall ordinarily be permitted to pursue research for the Ph.D. degree in the subject in which he/she holds Master’s degree. For post graduate degree in allied/ interdisciplinary subjects, eligibility would be ascertained as per para 2.5.

** Income Certificate
Steps For Form Filling :
** During the form filling process the applicant can make the entries and save the
information.
** If the applicant is unable to fill the form in one sitting or somehow the process is interrupted there is no need to register again. They can login using the credentials sent on their mobile numbers and continue the process.
** Applicants are advised to check all the data they have entered before submitting the application fee. If there is some error they can edit these or start the entire process again. Once they have submitted the application fee the data submitted in the registration page cannot be edited under any circumstances.
** Step 1 Course Selection
Applicants have to select the Faculty and Course they are interested in.
o Applicants are advised to read the eligibility criterion carefully in the Lucknow University Ph.D. ordinance and ensure that they are eligible for the course they are applying for.
** Step 2 Registration
Applicants have to fill the relevant details in the form provided. These fields cannot be edited later.
Applicants will receive their login details in the mobile number and email ID provided at the time of registration.
** Step 3 Personal Details
Applicants have to enter their personal details
** Step 4 Educational Qualifications
Applicants have to fill their educational qualifications.
o Enter the marks of all the subjects mentioned in the mark sheets
Applicants have to fill the subjects they studied in the final year of graduation.
Applicants have to fill the subject of Post Graduation
** Step 5 Upload photo and signature
Applicants have to upload their photo and scanned signature.
** Step 6 Preview
Applicants can preview all the entries made at this point. If there is some error they can edit these or start the entire process again. Once they have submitted the application fee the data submitted in the registration page cannot be edited under any circumstances.
** Step 7 Application Fee
If all the entries in the application form are correct the applicant can submit the form and proceed for payment of the application fees.
Form fees can be submitted by any of the following ways
o Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, E – Challan
** Step 8 Print Application form
Applicants can print their complete application form and fee receipt to complete the application process.
