Common Entrance Test :
Online applications are invited for Post Graduate admission during First Semester (August 2016) of the Academic Year 2016-2017 in three faculties i.e. Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering of this university.

General Guidelines For Candidates :
1. The admission will be done through Common Entrance Test (CET) and counseling. All candidates including in-service candidate of this university as well as the Agriculture Department of Chhattisgarh Govt. interested in PG admission of IGKV have to appear in CET 2016.
2. The question paper of CET 2016 will be based on Undergraduate Syllabus which is available on the website igau.edu.in.
3. The detailed CET regulation for PG admissions is available at the weblink igkvmis.cg.nic.in.
4. The candidates seeking admission under reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) should belong to Chhattisgarh state only and they have to bring copy of permanent caste certificate and state domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh along with hard copy of online application form on the day of counseling.
5. The candidates from CG domicile belonging to OBC category and seeking admission under this category should bring income certificate showing they belong to non-creamy layer.
6. The Chhattisgarh domicile requirement will be compulsory for PG admissions. Any candidate who has completed his/her UG programme from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Krishak Nagar, Raipur, for such candidates the Chhattisgarh domicile will not be compulsory.
7. The candidates from other state may also apply for PG programme, their candidature will be considered only if no candidates are available as per above point no. (5) in the list.
8. For the reserved category (SC/ST) 5% relaxation will be given in minimum admission requirement (6.0 OGPA or 60% marks.). It means candidate of SC/ST category with minimum of 5.5 OGPA or 55% under 10+2+4 system can apply for CET.
9. The CET for PG admissions in Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering Faculty will be held on 19th June 2016 at the following venues : 1. College of Agriculture, Raipur 2. TCB College of Agriculture & Research Station, Bilaspur 3. RMD College of Agriculture & Research Station, Ambikapur, 4. SG College of Agriculture & Research Station, Jagdalpur and 5. SV College of Agril. Engg. & Tech, Raipur.
10. The timings of CET will be 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM.
11. The candidate must have acquired minimum admission requirement on 29th July 2016. i.e. one day before the date of first counseling.
12. Everyone who has appeared in the CET has to produce the documents pertaining to minimum admission requirement such as Last semester mark sheet issued by the University or Provisional degree certificate issued by the University on or before 29th July 2016, failing which their candidature will not be considered for any counseling scheduled by the University for Admission. Non-eligible candidates will not be entertained under any circumstance.
Other important points :
** Submission of online counseling form is compulsory.
** B.Sc. (Forestry) 10+2+4 will be given preference for M.Sc. (Forestry) and their separate merit list will be prepared on the basis of CET 2016.
** All candidates having their name in CET 2016 merit list of forestry and holding B. Sc. (Forestry) degree under 10+2+4 system & fulfilling minimum admission requirement as per advertisement may participate on 30th July 2016 at 11.00 AM in the counseling by submitting online counseling form, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
** All categories of students (B.Sc. (Ag)/B.Sc. (Hort.)/ B .Tech. (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc. (Ag Biotech) having common merit rank up to 300 in CET can participate in counseling on 30th July 2016 i.e. first day of counseling and thereafter as per the counseling schedule, by submitting online counseling form subject to fulfillment of minimum admission requirement.
** The vacant positions of seats will be uploaded every day till 02nd August 2016 and candidates can attend the counseling subject to fulfillment of minimum admission requirement by submitting online counseling form.
** On 03rd August 2016 vacant seat positions, if any, will be uploaded on the website for all concerned. Thereafter, if situation arises, the information on conversion of seats will also be uploaded.
** All candidates are advised to visit website regularly to know the latest updates.
** If any candidate could not attend counseling on the schedule day as per his/her merit, he/she may participate on the next day of counseling for available vacant seats, if any.
