For Admission To Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B. Professional 3- Year Course)(Semester System)

The Entrance Test for Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) shall be open to all such candidates who possess the qualifications as mentioned below:
(a) Those candidates who have passed / appeared in the final year of Bachelor’s degree in any faculty of the Panjab University with at least 45% of the aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/BC candidates).
Or
(b) A Bachelor’s degree in any faculty of any other University recognized as equivalent to the corresponding degree of the Panjab University with at least 45% of the aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/BC candidates).
Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor’s degree of the Panjab University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate, through Modern Indian Languages (Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi / Gurumukhi script) and /or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic), the aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC candidates) shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of aggregate marks that he /she had secured at the language examination, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper English and the elective subject taken together .
Or
(c) Master’s Degree in any subject from the Panjab University.
Or
(d) A Master’s degree from any other university recognized as equivalent to the corresponding post-graduate degree of the Panjab University.
Note: The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualifications for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in LL.B. course.

Date of Availability of Prospectus and Application Form on the website of Panjab University 12-04-2016 (Tuesday)
Last date for submission of information on the website to generate the Bank Challan 25-05-2016 (Wednesday)
Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated challan 27-05-2016 (Friday) upto 4:00 p.m.
Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website 30-05-2016 (Monday)
No correction will be entertained / made regarding photograph, signature and any other information after 01-06-2016 (Wednesday) upto 5:00 p.m. 01-06-2016 (Wednesday) upto 5:00 p.m.
Final date by which Roll No. will be available online Admit Card required to be downloaded from the website by the candidate using their own Login and Password (provided while generating Bank Challan). There will be no physical communication for this purpose. 10-06-2016 (Friday)
Date of holding Entrance Test 19-06-2016 (Sunday)
Tentative dates by which the result may be declared by the University 27-06-2016 to 30-06-2016(Monday to Thursday)
How to Apply :
** Register Online.[last date for registration: May 25, 2016]
** Note down your Login Id and Password.
** Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip.[last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch: May 27, 2016]
** Login and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information Save and Confirm.[last date for completion of form: May 30, 2016]
** Download your Admit Card after 10th June 2016.

** If more than 24 Hrs. have passed after depositing the fee in bank and your fee details are not available, write to pglaw at pu.ac.in with scanned copy of bankslip.
** Candidate availing concession in the fee under the category SC/ST/Blind OR P.U. Class B/C Regular Employee must send the copy of printout of their filled form alongwith the self attested copy of Category Certificate/ Proforma for claiming 50% concession to P.U. Regular Employees (“B” and “C” Class) duly signed by Head/Chairperson, to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand on or before June 08, 2016 upto 4:00 PM.
** Mere login id creation OR deposit of fee does not mean that candidate has completed his/her online application form. Incomplete form leads to cancellation of candidature. Any request for completion of form after due date will not be entertained at all.
